How Do I Protect My Driveway From A Skip?
Skips can be hired for residential waste removals or for even those smaller clearance jobs. When placing a skip on private land such as your driveway, you may have a burning question of if it will damage your driveway. To answer this in the shortest possible way, yes it will. If you have a big lump of metal on your property, then you will have to consider that it may damage the land beneath. Some driveways or lands can be quite soft so having an 8 tonne loaded skip resting on them must be considered very carefully by the hirer.
Although some damage is inevitable, it does not happen often and can be prevented. We do recommend that all our customers place down wooden boards for the skip to be placed on, especially if we are working with resin driveways or soft tarmac. These types of driveways have a high risk of damage due to their characteristics. All our customers should be aware that we don’t accept damage to driveways or private property due to the nature of the work, and we do not provide the service of putting down boards to sit beneath the skip. Skips placed on your property are done so at your own risk.
Here at Evergreen Skip Hire, we do our best to minimize any damage to your driveway or land and have an experienced, professional team at hand. We have high customer satisfaction rate and provide a stress free service for all of our clients.
